Tresterbrand wird aus vergorenem Traubentrester destilliert. Die Bezeichnung Tresterbrand ist abgeleitet von dem sogenannten Trester bzw. Treber. Das ist ausgepresste Maische bei der Weinherstellung. Viele kennen den Tresterbrand besser unter dem Namen Grappa oder Marc, wie man ihn Italien und Frankreich nennt. Diese drei Destillate werden aus den R\u00fcckst\u00e4nden bei der Wein- und Saftherstellung gebrannt. \u00dcberall dort wo Wein angebaut wird, stellt man auch verschiedene Tresterbr\u00e4nde her. Es handelt sich hierbei um traditionelle Destillate – die das „Abfallprodukt“ der Verg\u00e4rung der Trauben und von Obst sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Tresterbrand ist stark aromatisch, denn die Fruchtr\u00fcckst\u00e4nde darin sind sehr konzentriert. Die Destillation \u00fcbertr\u00e4gt das jeweilge Fruchtaroma auf das Destillat. Der Geschmack ist meist eindeutig und man kann die zugrundeliegende Frucht gut erkennen. Man unterscheidet z.B. Tresterbr\u00e4nde vom Riesling, dem Gew\u00fcrztaminer- oder von der Muscat-Traube deutlich. Viele dieser Destillate sind sozusagen „sortenrein“. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Tresterbrand stand im Ruf der Arme-Leute-Schnaps zusein, da er auf einer Resteverwertung basierte. Fr\u00fcher wurde er von laienhaften Brennern hergestellt. Diese Tatsache hat sich inzwischen grundlegend gewandelt. Grappa und Marc eroberten die internationale Spirituosen-Szene, insbesondere in der Form des im Barrique greiften Edelbrandes. Tresterbrand steht daher den international bekannten Spirituosen in nichts mehr nach und ist in Weinbaugebieten ein bevorzugter Digestif.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
